Fluorite on Sphalerite - Minerva #1 Mine, Cave-In-Rock, Hardin County, Illinois
$450.00Price
There are mineral specimens that show composure (what we sometimes refer to as architecture) so exceptionally well, it defines what entire generations of collectors look for. These cubes perched on Sphalerite are a perfect example of this. Even people who do not commonly collect fluorite tend to be enamored by the sheer satisfying aesthetics when they see them. They are few and far between these days, but we do come across pieces like this now and again still.
This specimen also has excellent luster, color, and a wild petroleum pattern speckled just beneath the surface of the fluorite.
5.5 x 4.5 x 3 cm.
