Wonderful alone, but together they can be epic! This amazing example shows just how exceptionally well they can contrast one another and make their best traits stand out. A glassy luster on both, with textures for days. The yellow tone of the tenacious tourmaline is the perfect darkness to offset the bright quartz. 
This piece was in the early collection of famous fluorite aficionado, Dr. Jim Gebel. He had good taste even before he went isometric.
