A museum (big for a large cabinet) sized yellow/purple cubic Illinois Fluorite with red Sphalerite and gold Chalcopyrite from Annabel Lee Mine. Purple phantoms perfectly accent the golden yellow core of this exceptionally rare example of this classic mineral.
 
While Fluorite itself is common, like all species, good examples are always more rare (especially in correlation to size). A massive specimen like this from Illinois is commonly significantly damaged, especially with any prominent cubic structures. Most specimens of size were left outdoors and allowed to weather or become damaged after being collected due to the lack of understanding and appreciation for the crystals.
