Fluorite with Quartz - Yaogangxian Mine, Hunan, China.
Approximately Measures: 5.5 x 5 x 4.5 cm.
There are few localities that provide extreme aesthetic diversity in a single species, but Yaogangxian has a way with Fluorite that is truly awe inspiring. This particular specimen features a unique inclusion of a doubly terminated Quartz which protrudes both terminations through the lower left corner of the specimen. The chances of such an occurrence are extraordinarily low, and especially while keeping the included area clean and intact.
The color, including the phantoms, are astonishing, contrasted, and beautiful. An aspect which goes well with the good internal clarity and glassy luster. The surface textures make for a whole different aspect to appreciate with a series of cubic patterns creating a landscape around the specimen until you real the sections which show the previous generations of the Fluorite.
This specimen is truly and exceptionally unique.
