Carrollite on Calcite - Kamoya South II Mine, Republic of Congo.
Kamoya South II Mine has produced some of the most interesting and diverse Carrollite in the entire world and has done so against the odds of strict anti-specimen collecting rules in the mine. This specimen shows an amazing association of rhombohedral calcite. The Carrollite itself also has an incredible luster and an amazing iridesence on the surface. The crystal faces are sharp and articulate which is accented by intricate formation patterns on the surface that you could stare at for hours.
