Adamite - Ojuela Mine, Mapimí, Durango, Mexico.
Approx. Measures: 5 x 4.5 x 2.7 cm.
This is an extremely unique Adamite specimen with Iron included below the surface. It has created a unique color, but didn't inhibit an astonishing crystallization, which created a truly beautiful surface texture.
Interestingly, despite the inhibitor (the iron) included under the surface of the Adamite, the surface still fluoresces, and in fact, more intensely so for some reason. I believe the Iron likely acts as a sort of reflective mirror, intensifying the effect when the specimen is struck with fluorescent light!
